You are scared. You are overwhelmed. You don't know what to do next.

Your teenager is struggling. Maybe it started with anxiety. Maybe there's self-harm. Maybe a provider used the word "suicidal ideation" and your world tilted. Someone recommended an ER visit. The ER recommended inpatient. The inpatient team recommended PHP. A friend mentioned residential treatment. Another parent said ketamine or TMS changed their child's life. An educational consultant is suggesting a therapeutic boarding school at $15,000 a month.

Every recommendation sounds urgent. Every option costs money, time, and your child's trust. And you have no way to evaluate any of it because you have never been inside these systems. You are making the most consequential decisions of your family's life with almost no information.

That is the problem treatment navigation solves.

Why me

I have worked as a primary therapist in adolescent residential treatment for neurodevelopmental disorders for four years. I have worked on an adult psychiatric inpatient unit. I have worked in a PHP/IOP program for co-occurring mental health and substance use. I have worked in a specialty OCD clinic. I now run a private outpatient practice and co-developed the RELATE framework, the first structured clinical intervention for Pathological Demand Avoidance.

I am not reading about these settings in a brochure. I have been the clinician in the building. I know what happens after the intake call. I know which presentations these settings actually help and which ones they make worse. I know what good residential treatment looks like and what bad residential treatment costs a family. I know when PHP is the right step down and when it is just the next thing the insurance company will cover.

Most educational consultants do not have clinical training. Most clinicians have not worked inside higher levels of care. The combination is rare, and it is exactly what families in this position need.

The 90-minute Treatment Navigation Assessment

One focused conversation that gives you a clinician's perspective before you commit to a level of care.

The assessment is the entry point for every family I work with. It is designed to give you clarity in a single session, even if we never speak again afterward. For families who need ongoing support after the assessment, I offer additional packages that I will share with you at the end of our conversation.

What's included in the $350 assessment:

Pre-session record review. Send me whatever you have ahead of time: psychological evaluations, treatment recommendations from current providers, discharge summaries from prior programs, IEPs, or a written summary of what's brought you here. I review it before we meet so we don't waste your 90 minutes on background.

A 90-minute consultation. Conducted via Zoom. Just you and me, or you and your partner. We work through what's actually going on with your child, what's been recommended, what those recommendations mean, and what your real options are. You ask questions. I give you direct answers, not hedged suggestions.

A written follow-up summary. After our session, I send you a written summary of what we discussed: my clinical impressions, the levels of care I think fit your situation, the program types worth exploring, the questions you should be asking, and the red flags to watch for. You keep this. You can share it with your spouse, your child's psychiatrist, or anyone else helping you make decisions.

A 7-day follow-up email exchange. Within a week of the consultation, you can email me with clarifying questions and I will respond. This catches the things you didn't think to ask in the moment.

The assessment is $350, paid at the time of booking. If you decide afterward that you want ongoing support, the assessment fee can be applied as a credit toward additional services within 30 days.
