Telehealth only. Serving Utah, Colorado, Montana, and Texas.
Direct billing means I have a direct contract with your insurance company. When you have a session, my office submits the claim to your insurance, they pay their portion, and you pay your copay. This is how it works with the eight Utah direct-panel plans listed above.
Billing through Tava means Tava Health handles the billing on my behalf for insurances I do not directly contract with. Same experience for you as a client. Sessions cost you the same copay. The only difference is on the back end who submits the claim.
For Tava-routed plans, click Book via Tava and Tava will verify your specific plan and show you the copay before you book. Fast and accurate.
For direct-panel Utah plans, you can call the member services number on the back of your insurance card and ask for the outpatient behavioral health copay. Most plans set it between $5 and $45. If you're not sure, book anyway and we'll figure it out together at intake.
No. All plans I take allow you to self-refer to a behavioral health provider without needing a referral from your primary care doctor first.
Two options. First, click through to Tava and check anyway. Tava is in-network with 100+ plans and the list above only shows the major ones. Your plan might be there.
Second, you can book at the cash pay rate of $150 per session. Many insurance plans will reimburse a portion of out-of-network therapy costs if you submit a superbill (an itemized receipt I provide after each session). Contact your insurance to ask about out-of-network mental health benefits.
Layton, Utah. My practice is telehealth only. I do not see clients in person at an office. All sessions are conducted via secure video from wherever the client is located, provided they are physically in one of the four states I am licensed in at the time of the session.
